In the last of three consecutive rounds, the MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3 World Championships head to Buriram for the Thai GP. The fight for the titles continues in all categories, being completely open.
Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) is the leader in the MotoGP World Championship with a 27-point lead over Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati). Although mathematically there are more riders with possibilities of reaching the title, the fight seems to be destined to be between these two. Martín is looking to recover from a less positive sequence of results, where he missed the podium two consecutive times: something that hadn’t happened since Austria.
In Moto2, Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo/Kalex) has 56 more points than Tony Arbolino (Elf Marc VDS/Kalex). The title can be clinched this weekend, if he leaves Buriram with at least a 76-point margin. Jake Dixon (GasGas Aspar/Kalex) is in third place, but is mathematically out of contention and can only aim for second place.
Moto3 is the category with the most riders involved in the title fight. Jaume Masiá (Leopard Racing/Honda) leads with 217 points, just four more than Ayumu Sasaki (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP). In third, Daniel Holgado (Red Bull KTM Tech#9) is 22 points behind the leader, so he could overtake him in just one round. More complicated, but still possible, are the calculations for David Alonso (GasGas Aspar) and Deniz Öncü (Red Bull KTM Ajo), who are tied for fourth place 37 points off the top.
