Michael Ruben Rinaldi will continue in the World Superbike Championship riding a Ducati. He will now be with the independent team Motocorsa Racing, after four seasons with Aruba.it Ducati, officially confirmed after several rumors.
Since his debut in the championship in 2018, the Italian has only ridden bikes from the Borgo Panigale manufacturer, with several different teams. Now, Motocorsa Racing will be his next challenge, following a 2023 season that wasn’t always easy but still managed to secure a victory.
Quoted on the official WSBK website, Rinaldi stated: ‘The year 2024 starts today! A new team, new people, and a big goal… that’s why Motocorsa is the right choice. […]. I would like to use only two words: passion and ambition. Key words that have been, since the first meeting with Lorenzo Mauri, the essence of a clear message he wanted to give me, wanting me in the center of a solid and competitive project to keep me and aim even higher with a free mind. A vision that perfectly matches what I am looking for… a team that has the same passion for this sport as I do, the ambition, the desire, and the spirit of sacrifice that are necessary to achieve great results. For this reason, I am very happy and can’t wait to start working with the team to create an excellent technical foundation and a positive environment in the garage that can be productive and stimulating’.
Finally, Rinaldi shared his thanks: ‘I want to thank Lorenzo Mauri and Team Motocorsa, Vittorino Mesaroli and Mesaroli Spa, Ducati, and all the sponsors who made this project possible’.
