The CryptoDATA RNF Racing Team was far from having the best Sunday at this GP in Thailand, as Miguel Oliveira had to abandon the race due to an issue with his bike, while Raúl Fernández, despite some problems due to the temperature of his RS-GP, still managed to secure one point. This break is important to prepare for what is to come in the championship.
‘It was a tough weekend and a tough race. Miguel didn’t feel comfortable this week and, unfortunately, had a technical issue with the bike in Sunday’s race and had to retire,’ stated the Founder and Team Director in an official statement.
Next, he analyzed the race of both riders, who had different fortunes in the race: ‘However, Raúl had a fantastic start, was fantastic in the first ten laps and was among the top 10. He slowed down because he had a problem with the bike overheating. The heat coming from the track to the bike was a problem, as it made it difficult for him to breathe, a problem that was also faced by the Aprilia boys. However, he still managed to score a point’.
The Malaysian is now starting to prepare for the next GP: ‘We will take a one-week break, after three weeks of races and travels, and then we will head to Malaysia, our home Grand Prix, where we will be fully prepared’.
