Another rider is being considered as a possibility for the open seat at Repsol Honda. After Fabio Di Giannantonio, Maverick Viñales, and Miguel Oliveira, now the name of Luca Marini is being linked to the Japanese manufacturer.
According to Sky Sport, the Mooney VR46 Racing Team rider met with Honda team director Alberto Puig. However, a transfer is unlikely to happen – especially since Marini has already renewed with his current team.
Di Giannantonio is currently seen as the main candidate to succeed Marc Márquez. However, the current Gresini rider has not yet been contacted to sign a contract with Honda, as the team is still in the process of analysis and decision-making.
