The frame of the Yamaha Ténéré 700 Explore 2024 is a double cradle unit in steel tube. In terms of suspension, you will find an upgraded 43 mm KYB front fork that offers 190 mm of wheel travel – 20 mm less than the standard T7.
At the rear, you will find a KYB shock absorber, offering 180 mm (just over 7 inches) of travel, which is 20 mm (almost 0.8 inches) less than the standard T7. This shock absorber, according to Yamaha, provides strong comfort even when loaded with gear on a long journey.
The combined suspension adjustments also allow for a seat height of 860 mm (about 33.85 inches), which is 15 mm (almost 0.6 inches) lower than the standard 875 mm (34.4 inches) seat height of the T7.
The brakes consist of a dual-disc with two-piston 282 mm front and a single 245 mm rear disc.
The 2024 Yamaha Ténéré 700 Explore comes standard with a taller and wider windshield, which, according to Yamaha, increases the surface area by 50% compared to the standard T7 windshield for better travel protection.
The 5-inch color TFT screen comes standard on the Explore, as well as mounting brackets for side cases of your choice. Note that side cases are not standard on the Explore, but you can add soft bags or aluminum hard cases as available accessories from Yamaha, if desired.
The fully LED lighting, a USB socket, and a 16-liter fuel tank are also standard equipment on the 2024 T7 Explore.
