The GSX-8R was presented today at the 2023 edition of EICMA in Milan, Italy, another model born based on the platform presented a year ago at the same event.
After the presentation in 2022 of the V-Strom 800DE and the GSX-8S, to which the standard version of the V-Strom 800 was added earlier this year, this is the latest model from the brand to join this family, contributing to the diversification of the brand’s range.
A new era of sports bikes
The new GSX-8R shows us a new and exciting expression of what is expected from a sports bike, namely: passion, performance, and driving pleasure. Controllable, agile, and designed to satisfy in any type of use, whether in the city or on the winding mountain roads; in daily use or weekend rides.
Part of the GSX-S family, the GSX-8R still presents a sporty image that anticipates a high driving pleasure, evidenced in the combination of its aggressive lines and flat surfaces, giving it an elegant, balanced, and perfectly proportioned look.
It features the same 776cc twin-cylinder engine with a 270-degree crankshaft offset, already known from previous models, ensuring outstanding performance from low revs and contributing to its sporty performance, always free of vibrations thanks to the patented “Suzuki Cross Balancer”.
This is complemented by a set of features such as its robust frame, new steering advancements for a more sporty riding position, inverted front suspension Hitachi Astemo (SHOWA) SFF-BP, radial mount brake calipers, Full LED lighting, 5″ color TFT panel, and an advanced technological package, reasons why the GSX-8R is a sportbike destined to lead the way to a new era of driving pleasure.
