The MotoGP world championship returns this weekend with the Malaysian GP and this will be the first time Miguel Oliveira will face the circuit in the championship as a rider for CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP, with him recalling his first test at the location and showing hope to continue taking steps towards success.
The Portuguese rider, who recently praised the Aprilia RS-GP, recalled his first contact with Aprilia in Malaysia and where he immediately felt very comfortable, although he is fully aware that, now in competition, he will not have an easy task: ‘Thinking about the test here at the Sepang Circuit, I remember having a good feeling with the Aprilia when we rode on this circuit for the first time and the bike was still very new to us. I hope that this weekend we can return to our place, although we know it won’t be easy’.
The focus is on moving forward and continuing on a path of growth: ‘Last time, in Buriram, we also managed to take some steps in the right direction, so we are open and focused’.
Miguel Oliveira is currently 15th in the championship with 76 points accumulated, and the third among the Aprilia riders.
