Miguel Oliveira had another challenging Sprint race at the Malaysian MotoGP Grand Prix. After falling to 19th place on the starting grid, the Portuguese rider was always at the back, but still managed to recover to cross the finish line in 18th.
The CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team rider highlighted that there were many aspects that posed difficulties, but also acknowledged that he didn’t have high expectations and even took the opportunity to try out aspects for the main race:
From where we started, we knew it was going to be a bit difficult. But anyway, we intended to just set a pace and try some things for tomorrow. I couldn’t accelerate out of the slow corners to set up a pass. It was difficult to stop the bike. There’s nothing specific we can do better behind other riders. It becomes increasingly difficult as the laps go by when you use the grip. I expect a tough race tomorrow, but we will give our best from start to finish and see what we can do.
