After an absence of 41 years, the Dax returned to Europe in 2023, joining the Monkey and MSX125 Grom in Honda’s exclusive range of minibikes. For 2024, this model gains a new and stylish Glittering Pearl Blue color, joining the Nebula Pearl Red and Cadet Pearl Grey, which have remained since last year.
With its characteristic pressed steel frame in a T shape, no other bike, big or small, has the same shape as the Dax. This frame, which extends from the seat to the chrome handlebar, resembles a “sausage dog” (Dachshund breed) with its short legs and long body, which served as inspiration for the original name of the ST50 Dax in 1969.
For 2024, the Dax maintains the unmistakable and symbolic look of the original model, with the frame (which also houses the fuel tank) very robust to carry two people. Up front, the suspension is handled by a 31mm inverted fork, complemented by two rear shock absorbers. To complete this classic look, the Dax has dark 12-inch “minibike” style wheels and thick mixed tires, offering unparalleled agility in the city. All lights are LEDs and the Dax proudly displays its negative LCD panel, in addition to a chrome handlebar and a strip on the seat for the passenger to hold onto.
The famous Dax received a new award in 2023, with the “Furiosa” version by Portuguese artist Tamara Alves winning the 4th annual Honda customization contest, organized at the Wheels & Waves festival in Biarritz (www.hondacustoms.com).
The always popular CB125F has been considered, since its launch, a sturdy and easy-to-use entry-level motorcycle that offers the perfect first step into the world of motorcycles. In 2021, the CB125F underwent a substantial redesign with a new engine, new frame, and new look, including LED headlights. Last year, the CB125F was the second most popular 125cc motorcycle in Europe, with over 7,000 units sold.
Now, for 2024, the CB125F receives cosmetic updates, including a shorter muffler, a longer chrome heat shield, a stronger aluminum grab rail for the passenger seat, and two new contemporary colors – Imperial Metallic Red and Matte Marvel Metallic Blue – joining Black in the lineup. These three colors also feature vibrant red details on the rear shock springs and spark plug cap for an additional touch of color.
