At the start of the Qatar MotoGP Grand Prix, Miguel Oliveira set the 15th fastest time in the first free practice session. In a session where times are a secondary aspect, the CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team rider was in the top five on more than one occasion, but ended up in 15th with a time of 1m57.606s.
Positive start to the session for the “Falcon”, who placed third with his first flying lap. However, despite improving, he couldn’t maintain his position at the top, eventually dropping out of the top ten. After seven flying laps, Oliveira returned to the garage while in 13th place.
In the final 20 minutes, #88 began his second series of laps, now in 16th place. Having used two medium tires before, he now opted for a medium front tire and a hard rear tire. On the second lap, he significantly improved to reach 11th place. Fast at this stage, he would return to the top five for a few moments.
However, Oliveira did not improve until the end and gradually dropped to 15th place where he finished. He was 1.213s behind the leader, Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati). Meanwhile, Oliveira’s teammate, Raúl Fernández, finished fourth.
