One of the riders who spun behind Jorge Martín and overtook him in the MotoGP Qatar GP race was Fabio Quartararo. The 2021 champion was behind the Pramac man for some time when he showed great difficulties before passing him.
The Frenchman told the press that he doesn’t know the reasons behind Martín’s performance, but he considers it undeniable that there was some kind of problem:
– He was struggling. He wasn’t driving like yesterday. I don’t know what the problem was, but it’s clear that he wasn’t the same Jorge as yesterday. It’s certain that he had a big problem, because you don’t do this type of race less than 24 hours later. So, for sure he had a problem. When I passed him, I wanted to make sure, because I didn’t want to make a mistake, but he was having more difficulties than yesterday. The way he was driving, I was faster. Yesterday I wasn’t faster than him and today I felt worse than yesterday. So, I believe the difference was big. But I don’t think it’s me who will give the right answer.
