Marc Márquez finished the Sunday race in 11th position. The Spanish rider and eight-time world champion continues to struggle to ride his RC213V.
In the debrief, the Spanish rider talked about the sensations he experienced during the race.
– ‘ Today I didn’t have the best performance. I spent the whole race behind Jorge, maybe I could have done more, but the feeling wasn’t the best. There was a point in the race where I was struggling a lot, despite everything it was a weekend that went well, without mistakes, solid and it’s done. Today’s race was similar to the Sprint, yesterday I had Bagnaia in front of me and I knew he was faster, but I knew I wouldn’t have more pace than him until the end of the race, just like it happened today with Martín. Why spoil their race when they are in such an important phase and I know perfectly well that they are faster than us?’
Questioned about the next and last weekend racing for Repsol Honda Team and about the difficulties Jorge Martín had today, Marc replied: ‘ It’s going to be a busy weekend, no doubt. I’ve already looked at my schedule and it’s going to be complicated, but I want to focus on the race and finish in the best possible way with Honda. When I was behind Jorge, I noticed he was struggling, he was slower in cornering and coming out of corners which is strange for Ducati, but it seemed like he was having trouble with rear tire grip.’
