The MotoGP season starts in Qatar, a circuit with good memories for Enea Bastianini. The rider is entering his second year with Ducati and, after a 2023 season heavily marked by injuries, he is now looking to join the title fight.
The Italian rider highlighted his excitement and confidence after the pre-season tests and the fact that it was the scene of his first victory in the premier class. However, he also acknowledged that the conditions will be different and that work needs to be done:
– Finally we are back on track for the first race of the season, and I am excited to start in Qatar – where I secured my first MotoGP victory in 2022. In the recent pre-season tests in Losail we were fast and competitive, so the conditions are favorable for a strong performance. However, the conditions of a race weekend will be different from testing, so we need to keep our feet on the ground. We will work hard from the first round to start this 2024 season the right way.
