The day was full of decisions regarding the different categories of MXGP, and while the champion was crowned in the main category, Andrea Adamo in MX2 also did not want to wait and secured the world title. Romain Febvre won the second race of the MXGP in Italy today.
After seeing the title slip away in an unusual way, by finishing the first race early after a fall, Febvre (Kawasaki) wanted to show that it didn’t affect him and won the second race of the category in Maggiora.
The Frenchman, second in the world championship, beat the Team HRC duo: Tim Gajser was second and finished the race 1.628s behind #3, while Ruben Fernandez was third, 6.011s behind. Jeremy Seewer was fourth and the best Yamaha rider on the track, with Alberto Forato being the best with a KTM.
Jorge Prado (GASGAS), already with the title secured, finished sixth.
