Ducati dominated the 2023 MotoGP season at all levels, as demonstrated by the final championship standings where the top three riders were aboard Ducati bikes. Johann Zarco represented Pramac Racing and is familiar with the Desmosedici GP23.
However, the French rider couldn’t answer when asked what could be improved on the bike: ‘I don’t know, I think Gigi [Dall’Igna] knows better than me where to improve the bike‘.
On the other hand, Zarco highlighted a particularly important achievement of Ducati: ‘What Ducati did incredibly well was make all bikes win, and I think this is the most incredible thing – giving every rider the opportunity to win races and fight for podiums. Everyone felt good on the bike and that’s where they have been fantastic‘.
That said, #5 believes that the other manufacturers do not need radical changes to compete with Ducati: ‘There is a big difference, but when you analyze everything very well, the difference is not so big. This gives a lot of hope to others. It will be a change or few changes that will bring the other bikes to the top‘.
