The private tests of the World Superbike in Portimão this week gave Michael van der Mark the first opportunity to interact with Toprak Razgatlioglu as a teammate at BMW.
Despite the weather conditions compromising the test plan, the Dutchman acquired the first impressions about the team environment and liked what he felt, as he stated:
– Unfortunately, I didn’t do many laps during the test. That was unlucky. But it was good to be with the team and have Toprak in the garage. There are some new mechanics and it was nice to spend a few days with the staff. Hopefully, we will have better luck in Jerez. There are so many things to test, so hopefully we can finally hit the track with the bike. My first impression was that the whole team environment is very good. I really liked it even though I didn’t ride much.
