The Kawasaki Ninja is undoubtedly the most successful range of supersport motorcycles out there. The name itself has come to define the very essence of a sportbike, with non-enthusiasts commonly referring to any sportbike, regardless of the manufacturer, as a Ninja. That being said, the iconic status of the bike is by no means unjustified, as to this day, the Ninja ZX-10RR continues to be one of the most competitive machines in the World Superbike Championship.
To celebrate this success, Kawasaki has released an ultra-limited edition version of the Ninja ZX-10RR called the Winter Test Edition. There have been winter test editions of superbikes in the past, usually released towards the end of the year when it is winter in most of the northern hemisphere. However, the 2024 Ninja ZX-10RR winter test edition is even more special, with only 25 units seeing the light of day. Each bike has been designed and prepared by the technical department of the WSBK Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT) and is aligned with the team’s rigorous competition standards.
Happy owners of the 2024 Winter Test Edition will receive a bike covered with a paint scheme similar to the KRT Ninja Winter Test bike from the WSBK. There is also a numbered plate on the tank protector, as well as an Akrapovic exhaust system. Additionally, owners of the new bike will receive a VIP pass for two people to access any round of the 2024 WSBK of their choice. The special pass grants access to the paddock during the chosen WSBK round, as well as VIP access to the hospitality and Kawasaki Racing Team boxes. You will also be entitled to a guided tour of the KRT Box and the opportunity to meet and greet Team Green riders, Alex Lowes and Axel Bassani.
In addition to the special benefits and additional features of the ZX-10RR Winter Test Edition, the bike is a powerful machine. 217 hp of power, courtesy of a 998 cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, four-cylinder inline engine. The torque is rated at 111.8 Nm, promising you a steady acceleration and an exciting top speed.
Other features include a comprehensive set of electronic components, such as a quick shifter, traction control, and cornering management. There is also an Ohlins steering damper to ensure maximum control. For better road riding capability, the bike has built-in cruise control and a large color TFT screen to keep track of the most important driving statistics.Naturally, a bike of this level has a quite high price, and the ZX-10RR Winter Test Edition is no exception. It has a suggested price of 33,000 euros at the time of writing this article. Only 25 units will be sold, with 10 reserved for the French market.
