After a MotoGP season marked by several injuries, Johann Zarco argued that current bikes played a key role in the physical problems that many riders faced throughout 2023.
In the Frenchman’s view, there will come a point where regulations need to change so that bikes have less performance and continue to have interesting races:
– We will see how riders can handle this, but there will be a moment where if we want to have good races like before – not good races, because races are still fantastic, but everything has to be perfect to have a good race. To have more leeway, we will have to step back in technical regulations – reduce the bike’s performance. This goes against the development we are doing. At the moment, I don’t know how to do it.
