After testing in Valencia, the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team also visited the Spanish circuit with their two riders. Marc Bongers was very focused during these working days and liked what he saw, although he had no way to compare the current level with that of the opponents.
The Director of BMW Motorrad Motorsport analyzed the tests and said, quoted on the official championship website: ‘After the Bonovo Action BMW team tested with Garrett Gerloff and Scott Redding immediately after the end of the season in Jerez, we were able to start testing with Toprak Razgatlioglu, Michael van der Mark, and the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK team. Overall, it was great to welcome Toprak to the team. His first impressions of the BMW M 1000 RR that he conveyed to us were very positive. He adapted well to the bike from the start’.
With the weather conditions changing frequently, and without data from some of the opponents, it is still not possible to know how the weather is compared to the rivals: ‘However, the conditions were challenging and we had no reference from the competition. So, making an assessment is still difficult’.
