In the upcoming season, Marc Márquez will be a rider for Gresini in MotoGP. Despite not having a direct contract with Ducati, he will ride a bike from the Borgo Panigale manufacturer… which could have already happened in the past.
Test rider Michele Pirro revealed to the site GPOne.com that the possibility of Márquez representing Ducati was on the table, but it did not materialize due to the amount of money requested:
– One thing we both said was that in 2016 he couldn’t come to Ducati because it was too expensive, while now he chose a Ducati to return to winning and this is a positive aspect.
