Yamaha is determined to improve its performance in MotoGP after the setbacks of recent years and has now hired an important engineer from Ducati: Massimo Bartolini.
According to the site SPEEDWEEK.com, which quotes the Italian press, he was close to the general manager Gigi Dall’Igna. At Ducati, he was a performance engineer.
If confirmed, this is another hiring by Yamaha from Ducati, after their current aerodynamics director, Marco Nicotra, came from Borgo Panigale last October.
The Italian manufacturer also lost three key members to KTM in recent seasons: Fabiano Sterlacchini and the chief mechanics Alberto Giribuola and Christian Pupulin.
