After a 2023 that was not easy at all, Enea Bastianini hopes that the next season will be synonymous with positive results and good performances on the tracks.
‘Unfortunately, 2023 was difficult from the first race. The injury I suffered in Portimão made me suffer throughout the season. Then, there was another phase of the championship in Barcelona, with injuries to a foot and a hand, but the scapula injury was the one that made me suffer the most and from which I couldn’t recover’, the Italian began, as quoted by the portal GPOne.com.
‘It was a difficult year in every way. At a certain point, I covered my ears because I didn’t want to have more pressure, I just wanted to focus on myself and try to have fun with the bike. I stopped giving importance to certain things and since I did that, I had a better experience and things ended up going better on the bike’, he acknowledged.
Pointing needles towards 2024, the transalpine is expectant and with good prospects.
‘The bike for 2024 is good, fun, and will be fast. And that is the aspect that pleases the riders the most. In the tests, we did a race with the old bike, then we switched and tested the new one and the results were immediately better. So, I think next year will be fun’.
Bastianini finished 15th, with 84 points, in the season that ended a few weeks ago.
