The MotoGP season ended with Red Bull KTM finishing fourth in the team championship and as constructor runner-up. It was the most successful year for the Austrians since they debuted in the premier class in 2017, with Brad Binder achieving fourth place individually. The South African, like his teammate Jack Miller, just couldn’t secure wins in main races.
Team manager Francesco Guidotti told the championship’s official website that the organization has improved significantly, also mentioning test riders Dani Pedrosa and Jonas Folger: ‘The way we are organized now is much better than before. The test team is also doing a great job and we can see Dani’s results when he raced as a wildcard. Jonas as well. He replaced a factory rider for a few races out of nowhere‘.
The Italian has nothing but praise to offer for the work developed at KTM, but emphasized that the ultimate goal of fighting for titles has not yet been achieved: ‘From engineers to technicians, mechanics, everyone is fully committed. Overall, we are really satisfied with all areas we have touched. Of course, the goal has not yet been achieved. There is still some distance to cover, but I think we are on the right track‘.
