During the Ducati Campioni in festa event, which took place at the Unipol Arena in Bologna, several of the eight thousand fans who gathered at the venue booed when the name of Marc Márquez was mentioned by the well-known Sky Sport Italia presenter and expert Guido Meda.
Due to the contract he still has with Honda, the Spanish rider was not present at the ceremony, which was attended by two-time world champion Francesco Bagnaia.
‘I believe without a doubt that Marc Márquez will be another opponent. He will be very fast, but we have already seen that during the tests. Obviously, he was able to seek maximum performance, even pushing the limits of the chrono speed to fully understand the new bike. In my opinion, he did very well and very quickly. But that’s what I expected from him, also because he was on a difficult bike and rode the best one there is. It will be a good fight, not just with him, because we cannot forget about Marco Bezzecchi, Enea Bastianini, Jorge Martin, Franco Morbidelli. Everyone will be fast with the Ducati’, highlighted the two-time champion, quoted by the Mundo Deportivo newspaper.
In 2024, Marc Márquez will join one of Ducati’s satellite teams in MotoGP, Gresini, where he will be alongside his brother Álex.
