Miguel Oliveira will start the 2024 MotoGP World Championship preseason with a current Aprilia bike. The rider remains in the manufacturer’s satellite team, now known as Trackhouse Racing.
Aprilia Racing’s CEO, Massimo Rivola, confirmed this in an interview on the Mister Helmet podcast: ‘Being in December, it’s a problem to give an official bike to both riders. However, what we will do is give Miguel a 2024 bike – with all the potential issues, especially at the beginning‘.
However, Raúl Fernández will have to wait a little longer, according to the Italian: ‘As we close the containers in mid-January, we won’t be able to have two complete bikes for the Sepang tests. But we aim to have both riders with complete bikes for the first race as well‘.
