In a winning team, you don’t change. The popular saying applies perfectly to the marriage between Honda and Toni Bou. The experienced rider and the Japanese brand have extended their partnership for another four seasons, which began in 2007 and will continue until 2027. In total, it will be 20 years, if the contract is fulfilled in its entirety.
‘I am extremely grateful to the team for trusting me for another four years. I have always said that I wanted to finish my sports career with Repsol Honda and that is the goal. I am happy to continue until 2017 with what I consider to be my family, with the team with which I have achieved all my titles. I have to continue in the same line, always give 100% in each competition, and fight to achieve the maximum in what remains of my sports career. I have achieved more than I had dreamed of and we will aim for more,’ declared the Spanish multi-champion.
In these 17 years, Repsol Honda Team and Bou have an incredible record, with 34 titles – outdoor and indoor – 221 victories and 291 podiums.
