Marc Márquez is one of the most loved and hated riders in the MotoGP paddock and all eyes will be on him more than anyone else this MotoGP season. Michele Pirro, a deep connoisseur of the Ducati universe, has a very peculiar opinion about the former world champion.
The Ducati test rider spoke about the Spaniard to GPOne, saying he has no doubts that he will be highly competitive: ‘Furthermore, obviously, there will be Marquez, who is returning with a competitive bike. I hope he returns to his past level and I am sure he will be in the fight. I’m sure that in Valencia he didn’t hide, he was always fast and it’s a track where he knows how to express himself’.
In Pirro’s opinion, Márquez is a rider capable of anything, and he will regularly be among the top five, going as far as considering him a true ‘animal’, especially when it comes to racing:
– We can expect anything from Márquez. Many people think he will give everyone a second, but I can tell you that everyone is riding very strong, so even he knows he has strong rivals. I see him among the top five and he will not give up because he is a racing animal. He tried to push the limits of the Ducati, we saw it from the first fall in Qatar, and I think that is a positive sign. When you stop falling, you regain the sensitivity of the bike.
