Pedro Acosta makes his MotoGP debut in 2024 with GasGas Tech3, without the pressure of being a factory team rider for KTM in his first year. Alongside him will be Augusto Fernández, who will be in his second season.
Pit Beirer, sports director, told the website SPEEDWEEK.com that this year’s Moto2 world champion needs space and room to grow, without excessive pressure.
‘Pedro should work calmly in his debut in the premier class. If he had to enter the KTM box in his first MotoGP season, he would certainly feel that pressure on him. That’s why we believe this is the right way for Pedro to make his debut in the elite. He will do it in a team led by Hervé Poncharal, who has a lot of experience. Then, we will decide the direction we will take for the future,’ he said.
