The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade takes a huge step forward in development, with its four-cylinder inline engine and 1000 cc, semi-cam distribution and new tuning in the camshaft to provide even stronger accelerations at medium rotation and high power at high rotation.
The 2-motor TBW system offers high precision control and feel at low rotation, with more engine braking effect, if needed. Specifications also include a swingarm similar to the RC213V-S, a 6-axis IMU for measuring inertia, and a 3-level HESD steering damper; the entire suspension is competition quality, from Öhlins (S-EC03), with piston valves and OBTi interface.
The instrument panel also has a new guide for adjusting preload. The braking system is from Brembo, with the new Stylema R four-piston calipers at the front. The new fins at the front create downforce on the bike, but have 10% less yaw in curves. The riding position has also been adjusted to give the rider greater control.
A limited edition of the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP is also available, the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP Carbon Edition. For more information, you can visit the official Honda website.
