Mick Doohan was in Bahrain this week, on the sidelines of the presentation of the Prima Pramac Racing team for the 2024 MotoGP season – one of the riders being last year’s runner-up, Jorge Martín.
The former rider told the championship’s official website that he hopes the Italian team and the rider will be back in the fight, also highlighting the competitiveness of Ducati, not forgetting Marc Márquez (Gresini/Ducati):
– Last year Jorge Martín was very, very close to winning the championship, so I would imagine it will be more of the same again. I didn’t take note of what happened in the tests, but Ducati is strong, there are several Ducatis in the field, so I would imagine these guys will be up front, like [Francesco] Bagnaia, and you can’t count out Marc Márquez either. He will be strong.
