Throughout his career, Valentino Rossi has always been accompanied by one of his best friends, Uccio Salucci – who has also become one of his right-hand men and one of the leaders of the VR46 Racing Team.
The team, which had already been champion in Moto2, surprised this year in MotoGP, taking Marco Bezzecchi to third place in the championship as well as achieving their first victories in the premier class.
Currently team manager, Salucci was confronted by Corriere dello Sport with the fact that 2023 was a season that silenced his critics. In response, the Italian stated:
– For some, I was the friend [of Rossi] who didn’t do anything. To be honest, this doesn’t change anything for me: if they had annoyed me by being right, then today I would be happy about it. But since I knew beforehand that those who said certain things were not correct, it never had an effect on me.
