The MotoGP World Championship saw its first major radical change in a long time this year, with the introduction of Sprint races revolutionizing the format. Promoter Dorna Sports is pleased with the sporting aspect of the premier class, but still sees the need for many more changes in other aspects.
In an interview with the newspaper La Repubblica, the entity’s CEO, Carmelo Ezpeleta, assured that these changes will exist in the coming years… and defended the changes that have already been made:
– We changed the formula, it works. The sport remains at the center of the show. In terms of sports, we are on the right track, but there will still be many changes in the commercial and promotional aspects in the coming seasons. We have to adapt to the times, change is good.
