Michael Ruben Rinaldi is leading the second day of World Superbike testing in Jerez. At this moment, there are about four hours left in the session.
No one has beaten yesterday’s best time. In his best lap, Rinaldi (Motocorsa Racing/Ducati) clocked a time of 1m40.211s, to be 89 thousandths ahead of Dominique Aegerter (GYTR GRT Yamaha). Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha) follows, who set the pace yesterday.
Andrea Iannone (Team GoEleven/Ducati) is in fourth place at 0.175s, with Jonathan Rea (Pata Yamaha) in fifth at 0.238s. The reigning two-time champion, Álvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Ducati), has not yet set any fast laps.
It should be noted that the timing sheet includes two MotoGP riders and three bikes that are also testing in Jerez. There are also two riders from the Supersport World Championship classified: Adrián Huertas and Valentin Debise are in the last two positions respectively, with Huertas being 0.756s faster.
