A Hero MotoSports increases its bet on off-road, announcing the hiring of Joan Barreda. He has been one of the standout riders in the sport for several years and represented Honda between 2014 and 2023. He joins Portuguese rider Joaquim Rodrigues, Portuguese-German rider Sebastian Bühler, and Ross Branch from Botswana.
The 2024 Dakar will be Barreda’s first race with Hero MotoSports, but on November 7th he will have his first public appearance in the colors of the Indian manufacturer – he will be at EICMA 2023 in Milan.
In his career, the Spaniard has never finished on the podium at the Dakar – two fifth places were his best results – but only in his debut in 2011 did he not win any stages. He has already won races like the Baja Spain, the Rally of Andalusia, the Merzouga Rally, or the Pharaohs Rally.
