Aleix Espargaró no finished the MotoGP Malaysian Grand Prix, being forced to retire after a crash. The rider did not have the best sensations aboard the Aprilia, knowing the high risk he was taking.
The Spanish rider told the press that in the warm-up he made a considerable change to the bike and even felt faster… but also closer to the limit:
– It’s truly a weekend to forget. This morning we completely changed the bike to try to be faster. I adjusted the front part, made the swingarm shorter, and was very fast in the warm-up. But I told my team: ‘I feel like I’m even more on the edge, so the risk is very high.’ And that’s how it went, so I crashed.
