Miguel Oliveira and Raúl Fernández have just finished a year racing with the Aprilia RS-GP 2022, but next season the situation could be very different. The new team, which replaces the CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team, the new Trackhouse Racing MotoGP, asked Aprilia to provide the most updated version possible of the bike, as stated by Massimo Rivola himself.
In an interview with GPOne, the CEO of Aprilia Racing said that this was a great opportunity and that they immediately asked for the best bikes possible for their two riders.
– We couldn’t miss out on an opportunity that was very stimulating on paper, both in terms of the brand and the market, but also on a technical level, because Trackhouse’s demands are important to provide bikes as similar as possible to the factory ones. It’s great to have an American team in MotoGP and the fact that it’s with Aprilia is very good.
Remember that throughout the season, Aleix Espargaró and Maverick Viñales said that the 2023 bike was very similar to the 2022 one, although Raúl Fernández, in the tests in Valencia just over a week ago, felt almost 1 second more competitive than with last year’s version. If the 2024 bike is a huge upgrade compared to the 2023 one, it suggests something very positive.
