After David Alonso led in the previous two days, it was José Antonio Rueda who finished with the best time in the Moto3 tests in Jerez de la Frontera – which ended this Friday. It is worth mentioning that 14 riders lapped below the official circuit record.
It was in the second session of the last day that Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo) set the fastest time of the week, with a lap time of 1m43.276s. With that, he beat Alonso (CFMoto Aspar) by 0.233s in the overall of the day, but the time that the Colombian set yesterday was only 39 milliseconds slower than the reference established today by Rueda.
Ivan Ortolá (MT Helmets-MSi/KTM) and his teammate Ryusei Yamanaka finished fourth and fifth respectively, while Daniel Holgado (Red Bull GasGas Tech3) completed the top five. Collin Veijer (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP) was sixth, more than half a second off the top. The last session had only 13 riders on track, but there was still one who improved – Tatchakorn Buasri (Honda Team Asia), who finished 23rd in the combined Friday table.
