Apparently, the future CB1000 will be an exclusive model for the Japanese market and will probably be launched in 2026, based on the CB1000 Hornet presented at the last Milan Motor Show.
This would replace the current CB1300, an imposing motorcycle in terms of size and weight, with an engine that will hardly comply with future regulations on pollutant emissions, something that is already within reach of the current CB1000 Hornet.
This sharing of mechanics could also lead to possible developments in terms of transmission, with the use of the DCT gearbox, in addition to bringing considerable advantages in terms of driving comfort, with a weight reduction that, in the worst case, could be around 40 kg.
We will wait for more news from the Japanese manufacturer, emphasizing that it would be a good opportunity for the return of a “hypothetical” CB1000 to Europe.
