The Moto2 pre-season tests have come to an end, and the best times came on Friday, the last day. Fermín Aldeguer prevailed against the competition, reinforcing his status as a strong contender for the title.
The Spanish rider from Sync SpeedUp completed the fastest lap in the final of the three sessions of the day, with a time of 1m40.307s. With that, he surpassed Joe Roberts (OnlyFans American Racing Team/Kalex) by just 44 milliseconds – with the American consistently among the fastest throughout the week.
The third fastest time was set by Manuel González (QJMotor Gresini/Kalex), 78 milliseconds off the top, followed by Tony Arbolino (Elf Marc VDS/Kalex). After being the fastest in the previous two days, Arón Canet (Fantic Racing/Kalex) improved, but only managed to secure the fifth position on Friday and in the tests – the top ten fastest riders of the day all clocked times below the best record that stood until the end of Thursday.
