David Alonso was once again the fastest on the second day of Moto3 testing, which took place this Thursday in Jerez. Once again, the official lap record of the Andalusian circuit was broken.
The second of the three sessions saw the best times from almost all the riders. Alonso (CFMoto Aspar Team) clocked a time of 1m43.315s to beat José Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo) by a clear 0.325s – the Spaniard had led the opening session of the day. Collin Veijer (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP) finished in third position, 0.501s behind.
The top five was completed by the duo from MT Helmets-MSi/KTM, with Ivan Ortolá in fourth and Ryusei Yamanaka in fifth. Adrián Fernández (Leopard Racing/Honda), in sixth, was already over a second behind the leader. Only two riders improved their times in the last session of the day: Matteo Bertelle (Rivacold Snipers Team/Honda) who finished 14th and Filippo Farioli (SIC58 Squadra Corse/Honda) who finished 20th.
