Honda is progressing slightly and evolving in a positive way, even approaching the competition, according to Lucio Cecchinello’s conviction after what the manufacturer was able to show during the latest tests.
The winter was important for the manufacturer to grow, with the team making an extra effort, perhaps greater ‘than ever’, according to the LCR Honda team manager, who revealed his confidence in the future in words to the official MotoGP.com website: ‘Honda has worked hard in recent months. I think more than ever. They have invested a lot of effort in the new bike and I must say that everything we have tested so far is showing an improvement’.
With the goal of returning to the manufacturer’s DNA, towards victories, as Alberto Puig (Team Manager of the Repsol Honda Team) also said previously, it was now the Italian who sees the progress made by placing the Japanese bike a little closer to its competitors, with Cecchinello adding:
– We feel that we are getting closer to our competitors. We still have work to do, so we will stay grounded. But we are all very excited and motivated within the garage.
