Velocifero is a small Italian company specializing in scooters and small displacement motorcycles. Recently, it has entered the world of electric motorcycles and we have already talked about some of its innovations, with the Race-X being one of the most interesting to be revealed at EICMA 2023. The brand also has a new electric scooter aimed at the more elegant city user.
It is called Tennis-E and takes the form of a retro-inspired scooter. The Tennis-E is based on the Tennis 125 gasoline scooter, but replaces the internal combustion engine with an electric motor for a silent and emission-free ride.
From a style point of view, the Tennis-E has a minimalist exterior accentuated by a sleek fairing. This scooter has a retro look, with a front fender and wheel covers in the color of the fairing. However, there are modern touches incorporated into the design, such as a dual-optic headlight and fully LED DRLs.
Powering this compact and charming scooter is a permanent magnet motor housed in the rear wheel. It pumps out three kilowatts of rated power and reaches a peak of five kilowatts, or about 6.7 horsepower, which puts it on the same level of performance as a 125 cc gasoline scooter. However, it is differentiated in terms of torque, with Velocifero claiming an impressive 175 Nm of torque from this electric motor. The Tennis-E offers its rider three driving modes, Eco, Comfort, and Sport, and has a top speed of 85 km/h.
