The Moto2 tests in Jerez started this Wednesday, with Arón Canet being the fastest on this first day. Three sessions were held.
Most of the riders set their best times in the last session – unlike Canet. The Spanish rider from Fantic was the fastest in the second session with a lap time of 1m41.136s – a time that was not beaten. Joe Roberts (OnlyFans American Racing Team/Kalex) set the second fastest time by leading the third session, but was 22 milliseconds behind Canet.
In a close day, Jake Dixon (CFMoto Aspar/Kalex) finished third, 28 milliseconds behind, followed by Fermín Aldeguer (Sync SpeedUp/Boscoscuro). The top five was completed by Ai Ogura (MT Helmets-MSi/Boscoscuro). Among the rookies, the best was Senna Agius (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP/Kalex), who set the 19th fastest time, 0.742s off the top.
