Joan Mir arrived at Repsol Honda this year after a career always linked to Suzuki – which ended its project in MotoGP. It was not an easy season, marked by injuries, several retirements, and few encouraging results.
The Honda team manager, Alberto Puig, commented to the official championship website on the year of the rider from Palma de Mallorca, stating:
– This year was not easy for Joan. He understood that it was not that easy. He hopes to try next year’s bike and see if the bike is more suitable for him, or more… let’s say, the way he likes to ride.
The RC213V will be substantially different in 2024, as seen in the Valencia tests in November. Honda aims to make clear progress compared to recent years and counts on Mir as one of the riders.
