In 2023, Johann Zarco matched his best final ranking in MotoGP, finishing fifth in the World Championship. However, he had his best season ever, both in terms of podiums and points – in addition to winning for the first time in the premier class.
In an interview with France Bleu Vaucluse, the rider who joined Pramac Racing mentioned that it was a positive season, following the changes that occurred, and he was pleased to repeat his best final result in the championship:
– It was a great season, with many changes. Just with the Sprints, there is an initial adaptation. Then, if we look at the numbers, I had the highest number of podiums, this victory, and a good top five in the overall standings that I already achieved in 2021, but it’s good to repeat it. It shows that I continue to be a rider who is ready for the fight.
