Andrea Dovizioso has already retired from MotoGP as a full-time rider, but recently, in 2021 and 2022, he returned to compete in some races at the highest level of motorcycle racing. In his best years, he engaged in intense battles with Marc Márquez, where he saw the Spanish rider come out on top on three different occasions.
Very attentive to current sports news and movements in the category, he spoke about some of the changes in the rider market, quoted by GPOne, with precisely the Spanish rider in mind.
There, Desmodovi as he was known for years, spoke about an aspect in which he sees his former rival having to work harder to get the most out of the Ducati: ‘It’s going to be very interesting. He’s going to be very fast and first he’s going to have to get used to braking, because that’s where he was strong with Honda.’
Still, Dovizioso believes that Márquez will be able to adapt quickly, but he will have other rivals in similar equipment trying to make his life difficult: ‘I think he will adapt quickly, but the other Ducati riders are eager to beat him and make it hard for him.’
Márquez has been a world champion multiple times, with Dovi finishing as runner-up in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
