In 2024, Luca Marini will take the place left by Marc Márquez at Repsol Honda in MotoGP. And the contract was signed months after his continuity in the VR46 Racing Team was announced – after the Spaniard announced his departure only in mid-October.
The Italian rider told the team’s press department that after Márquez’s decision, he tried to explore his possibilities of taking the seat:
– It was a shock after Marc announced his move. So, me and my group, my manager, tried to find a way to approach this new project and improve together and try to build a better bike, better performance, recover and win races and world titles. This is our goal, our target, so I am sure there will be very, very satisfying moments.
