This year, Marc Márquez joins Gresini in MotoGP, with only a one-year contract. He will ride a Ducati and, although he is not directly linked to the manufacturer, rumors have not stopped circulating about the desire (or lack thereof) of Ducati to have him on one of their bikes.
According to the newspaper Marca, during a sponsor event, the six-time world champion of the premier class was asked if he felt any reluctance from Ducati to have him on a satellite team. Márquez rejected:
