After several seasons with Ducati, Jack Miller moved to Red Bull KTM in the 2023 MotoGP season. The Austrian manufacturer was able to access feedback and knowledge from someone who had recently ridden the reference bike – which, according to his teammate Brad Binder, was an advantage.
The South African explained to Corse di Moto: ‘For me, one of the most important things is that when Jack arrived, he came from the reference bike that everyone was trying to beat. He was able to bring his knowledge and sensitivity from the previous manufacturer, obviously this gave us a good direction to follow and at the same time he was very quick to confirm what I had already said’.
Although he recognizes Miller’s importance to the project, Binder emphasized that improvements were already visible even before #43 arrived: ‘Since we started the first test, we took a good step in the right direction. But I believe that before Jack joined the team, we were already a little faster than the previous year, everything was going very well. I think that gave us a clearer idea of where we needed to go’.
