The Yamaha Ténéré 700 is a motorcycle built to tackle the toughest terrains, but this time the challenge was freestyle motocross and a daring stunt.
Jérémy Rouanet accepted the challenge of performing a backflip with the bike – one of the most difficult tricks in freestyle motocross. The size of the motorcycle made the task even more demanding.
The rider used a Ténéré 700 prepared by the Ténéré Yamaha Rally Team, equipped with various GYTR accessories and an Akrapovic exhaust. Additionally, Rouanet underwent several weeks of training.
In the end, the mission was a success, and at 39 years old, Rouanet managed to complete the backflip. The motorcycle used for the stunt is not road-legal due to the modifications, which included a lighter battery, sculpted seat foam, and the removal of components such as rearview mirrors, turn signals, and the license plate holder, among other parts.
